As this week brings the return of club training, we would like to wish all coaches and players across all teams the best of luck throughout the 2021 season. The return to GAA activity is a positive and most welcome development but there is an onus on everyone to minimise risk and play their part in ensuring covid-19 protocols are observed. Please follow guidance from the GAA and public health, ensure your return to play is complete before every training or game, and you are fully registered with the club. We thank all the Covid officers who are assisting with all teams to ensure this is complete, and everyone who has helped co-ordinate training to resume in a safe manner. We look forward to seeing all teams back playing games in the near future.

2021 Club membership! Club Membership for this year is now due and you can now pay for it online! you can complete 2021 membership through www.foireann.ie. All players and coaches must be registered before the return to play, this is to ensure all players are fully registered and insured. Membership prices are the same as last year and full details on how to register are on the club facebook page. Free Yoga Class! Kinawley GAA & Evelyn McManus are offering a 5 week free Yoga class, these started on Monday 29th of March at 7pm. Yoga can provide both physical and mental benefits,  along with potentially enhancing sport performance and injury prevention. Swanlinbar GAA Notes 12th April 2021 Due to official government guidelines re Covid-19 we have had to cancel our drive-in Bingo and also our Blotto All will resume when we move to Level 3 Our Blotto will start at €12000. Bingo  Total prize fund which can be won at the next Bingo is €9800. Snowball on game 5 on 45 calls or less for €6,500 Quickie game for the line €100 and for panel €250 on game 10 there is the usual €1000 to be won. 

Scenic River Walkway Work is continuing on our Scenic River Walkway Tarmacadam has now been laid and the last of the bollard lights are going in and we are waiting on some extra lights to be fitted but don’t let that put you off walking it in day light. No adult bicycles, no skateboards and no dogs allowed (except guide dogs) due to Health and Safety Rules.

Gaa Insurance Following February’s Cavan County Board Gaa meeting it was advised that there is no insurance cover for any type of training on Gaa Grounds. We will update you when we know more. Summer Camp We hope to run our Summer Camp from 19th to 24th July 2021 Covid-19 restrictions permitting

3. COVID-19 Support Line for Older People: ALONE manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am - 8pm by calling 0818 222 024.

7. Kinawley Running Group membership is now due for renewal. We have been in contact with Athletics NI and existing members can use last year’s forms and put money in an envelope with their name on it. These can be given to Committee members Thomas, Gemma or Darren. New members are always very welcome as we are a group of very mixed abilities.
