Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

 

PUBLIC MASSES RESTARTING IN THE PARISH

Having implemented the guidelines in the framework document of the Irish Bishops Conference re Covid-19 in the past week, we are now in a position to restart the Sunday Masses in the Parish of Kinawley-Killesher beginning next Sunday 12th July. This is following the professional sanitisation of all 4 chapels, imposition of seating and standing points, display of information signage and dispensation of sanitizing gel together with ushering procedures. Please use the designated seating points in the churches only. Families/households may sit together as one “pod”. At the moment the numbers permissible are as follows:

-          St Naile’s Church, Kinawley – 80 people (based on 1 metre distancing)                                               

-          St Mary’s Church, Swanlinbar – 80 people (based on 2 metre distancing)                            

-          St Patrick’s Church, Killesher –25 people (based on 1 metre distancing)                                              

-          St Lasir’s Church, Wheathill –15 people (based on 1 metre distancing)

Initially the return of Eucharistic Ministry & Altar Servers is postponed due to the restricted numbers. A phased return will be implemented for all other Ministries, readers, cleaners, collectors, counters. Please check the future weekly newsletters for details of when each ministry will return.

Masses can be followed on the webcam as previously the case.

1. Kinawley GAA:  Club Lotto Sunday 28/06/2020: Numbers drawn were 4, 6, 12, 18. No Jackpot Winner. Cairde Brian Ború - Next draw will take place on Sunday 26th July. If anyone still wishes to sign up to Cairde Brian Ború, please contact any committee member who will be happy to help.

Championship Draws - Both the Ladies and Men's Fermanagh Senior Football Championship Draws took place during the week. Our Ladies begin the defence of their Senior Championship title against Devenish in the Preliminary Round. Date & Time TBC. Our Men will face Erne Gaels, Belleek at the Quarter Final stage. This game is to be played on the weekend of 28th-30th August.

Walking Track - Remains open for Club Members from 8am to 10pm daily. We ask users to refrain from using the track from 5pm - 6pm, to facilitate those in our community who have been designated as vulnerable. Please read the guidelines on display, sign in the book provided, use hand sanitiser which is provided and follow the arrows around the track.

Kinawley GFC's Drive-in Bingo - We would like to thank everyone who attended our Drive-in Bingo on Sunday. It was fantastic to see such a great crowd there again this week despite the poor weather. Thank you to everyone who helped out in any way and made the event possible. We will be running another Drive-in Bingo this Sunday 5th July at 3pm again in Killesher Parish Field. Please support. Book Prices: 1/2 Book - £5, Single Book - £10, Double Book - £15, Quickie Sheet - £2 each or 3 for £5. Please bring the correct money for the purchase of books/quickie sheets, to avoid the need of physical interaction when handling change.

Fermanagh GAA Cúl Camps - Fermanagh GAA have decided not to organise Cúl Camps this summer. They feel this is the right decision when considering fairness and the safety of all concerned. 2. Swanlinbar GAA Notes: 29th June 2020: Swanlinbar Bingo is back from Monday 6th July 2020. Swanlinbar Gaa Bingo recommences on Monday 6th July 2020 with Drive-in-Bingo in Charlie’s Yard on Main Street Swanlinbar opposite Spa Service Station. We will commence where we left off with Blotto starting at €10,200 and our Snowball on Game 5 for €6,300 on 45 calls or less and €1,000 on Game 10. Total Prize fund on the night IS NOW €19,000. Bingo will start at the earlier time of 8.30pm. We will operate with the Bingo numbers being heard through the car radio and also through speakers in the yard and we will have the hall open for limited number of walk-in patrons while practising social distancing due to Covid-19. Car parking will be assisted by our stewards and will operate on a first in first out basis. All Covid-19 regulations will be observed and stewards will be wearing face masks and sanitiser will be provided.

Our Scenic River Walkway is under construction at the moment and we will keep you updated as we make progress.

Our summer camp will take place on 3rd to the 7th August from 10am to 2pm each day on the football field. This is now fully booked.

3. Kinawley Community Centre We are starting to put measures in place for the Community Centre and we look forward to when we can reopen.
